Quarterback Case Keenum is expected to sign with the Denver Broncos when the free-agency period officially opens on Wednesday, a source tells NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.
Keenum led the Minnesota Vikings to the NFC Championship Game last season after Sam Bradford was lost for the season with a knee injury. The Vikings lost 38-7 to the Philadelphia Eagles, who went on to win Super Bowl LII.
In the divisional round of the playoffs, Keenum connected with wideout Stefon Diggs for the “Minneapolis Miracle,” sending the Vikings over the New Orleans Saints.
The 30-year-old quarterback started 14 games during the regular season, with the Vikings going 11-3 in his starts. He finished the season with 3,547 passing yards and 22 touchdowns.
Keenum was signed by the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2012. He played for the St.Louis/Los Angeles Rams in 2015 and 2016 before joining the Vikings last year.
